Good Sports with Goodminton

Help me give my students Goodminton racquets and birdies for a fun new addition to our PE classes.

My Students

My amazing middle school students are smart, creative, spontaneous, and full of a love of learning! They come to school each day with lots of questions about the world around them. Whether working on math problems or conducting science experiments, my students love to learn by doing.

Our school serves many military families from the nearby Air Force base, a Navy EOD school, and an Army Special Forces cantonment.

We are in a unique area to have military families from so many different branches of service. Because of the challenges of military life, my students are resilient and hard-working.

My Project

Our PE classes desperately need some new equipment that will provide new and interesting physical activities to get our students up and active. They need some structured group sports that will build their physical stamina and increase their love for physical fitness.

Goodmintion is an unusual and intriguing physical fitness game that will make our students want to stay active as they learn something new.

Goodminton is a fast paddle game, like badminton, but with a short paddle instead. The feather birdie and the short handle will increase self confidence as their eye hand coordination tends to improve with a smaller fulcrum on the paddle. This game will give our students the chance to get on their feet and move.

Goodminton will be a great way for our students to learn hand-eye coordination, agility, and sportsmanship. It will give our students quality time with their peers and to be physically fit while having fun.
