My students attend a wonderful school just for 4th and 5th graders. Two elementary schools merge into this upper elementary location creating a special environment for this age group to thrive.
I love guiding my 4th graders to find answers on their own and helping them to be patient, collaborative workers looking to solve real world problems.
They come to school each day with great enthusiasm and care deeply about their classmates, learning, and their school. Students at my school get to take part in brainstorming and making decisions about the school through various groups and leadership positions.
I love my job and my school!
We struggled last year to find a space for each student to keep their materials. Some of my students really need help organizing and keeping their things in more than one space around the room was confusing. They have books, a binder, a whiteboard, journals, and really like to bring some supplies from home.
I am asking for ten Staples 3-Drawer plastic storage carts, and I know these carts will help them be more confident learners and feel valued.
My class from last year requested a drawer or box of their own and I have seen similar carts work well in other classrooms at my school.
We have great flexible seating with tables on wheels and often have students from other classrooms come into our space for learning, so it will be wonderful for my class to feel good about storing and organizing their items.
