This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

John Colton Dana wrote, "Whoever dares to teach must never cease to learn.” We as educators learn from our students as they do from us. Too often we are short of adequate materials that help develop them into better readers and writers.

My students are highly motivated readers and writers.

They enjoy reading different text types and responding to those texts in oral and written form. When they work in cooperative groups in breakout rooms, they get completely immersed in their work and are eager to share with their classmates.

My Project

As we continue to survive and thrive under these circumstances, it is imperative that our students' safety remain our top priority. As this pandemic continues to loom over our lives, we need to make sure we all stay safe and healthy during our time in school.

As students have become accustomed to practicing good safety tips on a daily basis, we need to make certain we have the necessary supplies to continue these safety measures.

We know that remote learning is no real substitute for in-person learning, but for that, we need basic supplies such as the requested masks, tissues, disinfecting wipes and spray, and gloves!
