Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have students that come from 10 area economically disadvantaged schools to our career center to learn a trade. Students can choose to either attend college or work after they graduate our program.

Most of our students work so they can help their struggling families with living expenses.

All of our students are curious and eager to learn. One of the main ways that we learn is to engage with as much hands on work as possible. My students have many questions and are eager to learn. They are very bright and inquisitive and should be able to have a safe clean environment to expand their education.

My Project

Many of my students have health conditions that compromise their systems. This will help my students be able to concentrate on learning by not being overly-worried about possibly contracting Covid from another student and taking it home to family members or friends. I realize that this is not a cure-all or complete protection for students but statistics have shown that this will help to filter the air and possibly catch many of the molecules that carry the virus before they have a chance to be inhaled by others around them. They deserve to be safe.
