I have a special group of awesome second graders this year. They have been distance learning since last March when all schools in our area were closed down do to the pandemic.
Even though my students have been through a lot they keep pushing forward.
Every day on zoom they are ready and excited to learn new things. They enjoy collaborating with their peers and can't wait to see each other when we return to school in-person this March.
My Project
As our school reopens in the next couple of weeks for in-person instruction I am very concerned about proper ventilation and air quality in my classroom due to COVID-19. The windows in my classroom do not open. Half of my class will be with me in the classroom in the morning and the other half will be distance learning in the afternoon. Kids and parents are still uneasy about their safety during this pandemic so I am requesting two Air Purifiers for my classroom which is extremely important in making the students feel more comfortable, healthy and safe.
Making the classroom safer and allowing the students to focus on learning is my goal with this project.
Please help me provide a safe learning enviroment for my second grade students.
