My students need LCD boards so we can all participate in group discussions!

My students are lively little learners. Having them sit down all day while I lecture to them is not an option! My lessons have to be hands-on and have real world meaning for them to get the most out of it. My students are on the move, not only physically, but also academically!
My students have a love for learning.
They are eager to soak up any and all concepts and skills presented to them, despite the fact that many of them face challenges in their day to day lives. I teach in a high poverty area and most of the students in our population qualify for the free lunch program. Though they face many obstacles, they are defying the odds. I am inspired by them because they come to school with a purpose in mind. They want to learn! Thanks to DonorsChoose.org and the many people who have supported our classroom, this year has proved to be exceptionally exciting! We have explored so many concepts and completed so many projects! Each lesson has proven to be yet another exciting adventure because of all the resources that have been donated to our classroom!
I incorporate many different types of instructional strategies in my classroom. My students love to participate in whole group because they love using their dry erase markers and boards. The only problem is that dry erase markers are really expensive. Many of my parents simple can not afford to supply their children with markers that last throughout the school year. So I usually write a project on DonorsChoose.org to help my students get what they need so that they can eagerly participate in whole group instruction. However, these new LCD tablets will replace the markers and save my parents and myself lots of money, not to mention it would also save on waste and help the earth. These tablets are reusable and inexpensive compared to the continuous purchase of the markers. They are also colorful, which my students will enjoy. It will make our classroom a more productive and fun place to learn!
