Help me give my students an alternative working surface via the LCD Boogie Board Tablets. Within this math and science classroom, these will alleviate the need and consumption of dry erase markers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Working in a Public Montessori school can seem to other educators and parents of students as overwhelmingly difficult. Well... they are correct in terms of preparing the content, materials, and the learning environment. It is a wonderful misery of planning and implementation that can suddenly change according to each students needs. Within this classroom we explore mathematics and science for the three grade levels of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
These students teach, support, and build each other up from 4th to 6th, all in one room.
Students spend three years with me, and continue to build better academics and social skills. Having this opportunity gives me the ability to really know who each student really is. Students embody the three Montessori tenants of respect others, respect yourself, and respect the environment.
My Project
Each student enjoys doing math on the table with a dry erase marker, but there are never enough of these. Even asking for a resupply from parents multiple times is not providing a solution. With LCD Boogie Boards, students will be able to have a super similar experience, and I can save their work with the app. The screens will allow them to work on their math skills and garner an understanding of content in a novel way. Proper procedures will be put into place with assigned devices with proper safety procedures taught. These already have an assigned location and will not be stacked one on top of another. Students with a desire to still use dry erase or just pencil and paper will still have this choice.
Students will be able to use these LCD Boogie Boards to put the math down in front of them in a novel way that also supports a smaller environmental footprint by replacing the need for plastic dry erase markers that get used up quickly.
