Good Bye Chairs, Hello Bouncing Balls for Flexible Seating!
Help me give my students the materials they need for flexible seating, by having this materials in the classroom they will be engaged, focus on the lesson and do their best.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Flexible seating will help my students increase collaboration, focus, and reduce extended sitting. The bouncing balls chairs will help students that struggle to stay still during the lesson. Having an option for flexible seating would aloud my students to learn in positions that are most comfortable to them. Students are more likely to retain information when they can move around. Making choices like choosing seating requires critical thinking and expressing a preference, which can help students communicate with each other. Having the options to change position, and move around helps to keep their brains engage, and flexible seating can help to reduce fidgeting, and other disruptive behaviors.
