Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students at my school need all the opportunities they can receive. They have lived through both hurricanes and floods in the recent years. I have taught my entire career at this school. Each student is near to my heart.

I am new to the STEM Lab position and there is always more to learn.

I encourage my students to continue learning and am pleased I can continue my own.

I believe the blessings I can share through a professional development session can bring so much to our entire school.

My Project

I am beginning my adventure into becoming my best professional self. I have recently started the journey towards becoming a certified member of the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. It will be arduous and detail-oriented, but I'm sure I can handle it. I love to learn and this opportunity excites me.

The knowledge I will acquire through this program will not only benefit me, but countless students who walk through my classroom door.

I will be able to institute new learning in my classroom and spread out into the school.
