Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our GSES scholars are a collection of high achieving, English language learners, and at-risk students. The majority of scholars have not had an opportunity to play organized team sports or put on a team jersey.

After introducing our Eagle scholars to American football, many have expressed an interest in playing organized soccer or futbol.

The enthusiasm of our 5th graders in competing in team sports is something I'd like to build on during physical education.

Donations to this project will support an eager group of students participating in organized soccer/futbol for the first time. The net, soccer balls, scrimmage vests, and training equipment will give these young futbol players a chance to play another team sport.

I hope to continue to foster an appreciation for team sports and give these GSES scholars an opportunity play futbol and be a part of our Eagles futbol team!
