In our science experiments, we often need precise temperatures. Since our lab room does not have access to a large freezer, stove tops or Bunsen Burners, this presents unique challenges.
By having access to an ice maker and digital kettles, students will be able to conduct Chemistry experiments requiring precise temperatures, such as the yeast-activated Elephant Toothpaste experiment.
The ice maker will allow us to make ice cream and do many reaction rate experiments. The containers, gloves and scoops will allow ice to be distributed and carried to lab stations with ease. With the electric kettles, we can do more experiments with heated water. This will allow us to heat larger amounts of water for water baths and to create Borax ornaments. The door to many experiments is wide open now!
