Building relationships and enhancing social emotional learning are a priority in my classroom. Students are valued, respected and challenged. Students are so much more than just vessels for knowledge; they are unique human beings and assets to my classroom. Throughout the year, I hope to draw upon their strengths and push them to new heights. Students in my science courses utilize countless techniques to help instruction come alive. Students watch videos, draw diagrams, view GIF's and other images, conduct labs and activities, make flashcards, make models and so much more. We can go outside and use chalk to replicate models. Students can use 3-D pens to help visualize structures that would otherwise not be possible. With the help of DonorsChoose, students are given more and more opportunities for hands-on learning.
