Help me give my students access to engaging, culturally responsive, and vocabulary-rich content through Flocabulary, which would empower my students to connect with academic content in a meaningful, memorable way.

My Project
If my project is funded, I will use my Flocabulary subscription to introduce and reinforce student learning through music. What I love most about my students is their resilience and individuality. Many of them come to the classroom with unique challenges—some are healing from trauma, while others are still developing foundational academic skills. Despite this, they show up with creativity, curiosity, and the capacity to grow when they feel seen, supported, and safe.
As a teacher with dual licensure in music and general education, I am especially attuned to the power of multi-sensory and kinesthetic learning.
For students who struggle with traditional instructional approaches, movement, rhythm, and hands-on activities can be a lifeline. These methods tap into the brain's natural learning pathways, helping students internalize concepts through experience rather than just lecture or text. These materials also make learning more accessible by allowing students to move, touch, hear, and see concepts in action—building confidence while bridging academic gaps.
Whether we are clapping out syllables, acting out story sequences, or using rhythm to learn multiplication facts, these resources are tools for connection and comprehension. They don’t just support academic growth—they support healing, empowerment, and the joy of learning.
