Going To High School 2026

Help me give my students 8th grade T-shirts that show they have Trained Their Brain in our math classes.

My Project

I would love to give our 8th graders each a shirt that says Fitzhugh's Math Crew and then all of their names on the back. Our team of kids has been in middle school together for two to three years and they have had either Mr. Fitzhugh or myself for math. We have a unique opportunity to teach our kids a rigorous math program to get them ready for high school and beyond. I have all of the sixth graders and then they split off to either Mr. Fitzhugh or myself for 7th and 8th grade.

Our 8th grade classes are special since we have had them for 2 to 3 years for their middle school experience.

Our kids work hard and we want them to know we really see them as part of our math team and we are proud of what they accomplish. We hope that our kids will go forth and thrive and use the skills we taught them for many years to come. We have done this for our 8th graders for several years now and we keep hearing how much they really like those shirts and still wear them in high school. The diverse books help our kids see themselves in our books in our book vending machine and classrooms.
