Help me give my students new PE equipment such as playground balls, cones, bases, and scooters to help them improve their fitness and well-being and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
The students at my school are always eager and willing to learn. They are curious, hardworking, and kind-hearted. They come from diverse backgrounds and different socioeconomic statuses. These kids continue to work hard to make academic gains and meet grade-level expectations. They are doing a great job navigating through the challenges of returning to school and bridging the gaps in their education. Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, cognitive performance, and classroom behavior. Higher physical activity and physical fitness levels are associated with improved cognitive performance among students. Replenishing the PE equipment for my classes will generate excitement, increase learning, improve collaboration and result in a healthier school community.
My Project
New PE equipment will help students to get excited about getting active, improve physical and mental health as well as learn to cooperate with others. Students will be able to choose activity stations that they enjoy while maintaining social distance. Currently, my students have a lack of options for exercising due to a lack of proper equipment. Making sure students have a variety of resources is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed an amazing difference in my students when they are given a choice and are able to follow their interests. Students are more engaged, positive, and friendly. The products that I have chosen will help my students by giving them additional options to make engaging learning choices. The playground balls, cones, and bases will allow for more students to participate in activities. The scooters, pool noodles and skip balls will inspire students to try new things. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' excitement, attitude, and ability and I hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
