My Students

We are ready to win gold! Our PPCD (pre-school program for children with disabilities) is practicing to compete in the Special Olympics that will take place in the fall. We need additional equipment in order to enhance our skills.

My students are the cutest, most adorable three, four and five-years-old you will ever meet!

They thrive and learn despite their disabilities, every day doing their best to be successful in school. They are an inspiration and an example to me and everyone who crosses their path. They make me so proud to be a special educator!

My Project

We will use our parachute, balance beams, beanbag learning center and other active play equipment every day for about 15 to 30 minutes to practice for our district's upcoming Special Olympics. This class is ready, willing and able to walk, run, jump, throw, roll and balance our way to Olympic Gold!

With disabilities comes a stigma and isolation that can be prevented by participating in events such as the Special Olympics.

The active play equipment I am requesting will help our little guys to become fitter, develop their gross motor skills and increase their self-esteem by taking part in an important group event.
