My third-grade students have a sense of determination in everything they do. They are always looking for opportunities to ask questions and soak in knowledge. They show love and empathy towards each other; they are always looking for ways to help each other grow. My students are learning, even out on the playground. The opportunity to dig deep into their environment makes them bounce their feet and grin from ear to ear.
My students are explorers in knowledge and the world around them.
They are inquisitive thinkers that show excitement about learning. My third-grade students show determination and grit on their educational journey here in Colombia, South Carolina. This is a bunch that is always looking for the opportunity for more, and as their teacher, I am excited to find new ways to give it to them.
The games I have chosen for my students will enhance their learning in a multitude of ways. Their primary intention is to give them both an educational and enjoyable activity for indoor recess days. The fun won't stop there, however, as these games have the potential to provide continued learning through play.
By using a board or logic game, my students can foster an environment of learning through a fun activity.
These games can be used to create a sense of community in the classroom by providing an opportunity for teamwork during math and reading centers. Students will have the ability to work together to solve levels and challenges these logic games provide. The games will also allow students to feel a sense of pride and success after persevering through a difficult level or helping their classmate through one.
Providing games that are both educational and fun will allow me to keep the learning going in my classroom, even on days when they cannot head outside to learn on the playground.
