My students need Chromebooks to enhance our centers for our new reading curriculum and working towards having a Google Classroom.

My Students

My students work hard all year long. We don't receive any extra funding and we don't have the latest and greatest technology. We do the best with what we have.

Our school has fundraisers, but the money normally goes to playground equipment and transportation for field trips.

It would be great to have some additional items that students will expand their critical thinking skills.

I finished getting my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology in May 2017. This school year I am part of a program to be a Tech Master Teacher. This encourages me to use more technology in he classroom.

My Project

Chromebooks will definitely help our classroom for a couple of reasons. One starting reason is to continue our Google Classroom. Google Classroom can be accessed from many different devices at home or school. My students are always excited when I can add something to our classroom with technology. A second reason is for the new reading curriculum we are using. The opportunities with technology in small groups will help if we can have Chromebooks in our class. I love that Chromebooks are light weight, easy to store and charge, but also that I don’t have to worry about Microsoft Office!
