My Students

My classroom is located in the northern Idaho panhandle. We are on the Washington/Idaho border. My room is on the second floor in this beautiful building that you see featured. I teach Spanish 1 and 2 to wonderful students in combined 10th - 12th grades. My students are busy bees as they are involved in school clubs, sports and also many have jobs. These students thrive with varied activities in the classroom. Playing games while learning is perfect for our long class periods.

My Project

Learning a new language is challenging on many levels. Students love to play games in order to foster their learning. I would like to acquire enough Spanish Bananagram games for entire classes to play. This tile letter game allows students to practice spelling and word acquisition in Spanish. Students will play this game in small groups which will also help with their classroom social skills. Bananagrams can be used for all levels of Spanish. It can be also multiple times in the classroom and can be used in all Spanish classrooms for many years to come! We want to go Bananagrams in our Spanish classroom!
