This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright, joyful, and eager to learn learners. I am a Special Education Teacher for Moderate/Severe Students. Our school is an inclusive site which our students with Disabilities are placed in a general education setting. Many of our students have been together since kindergarten and have developed meaningful friendships. My students benefit from tools and resources that would allow them to learn the same things as their peers. They also benefit from hands-on learning and things they are able to find connections to. Any supplies or donations would be greatly appreciated and utilized.
My Project
These materials will be used in a variety of ways. As I am a Special Education teacher I serve students Kindergarten-5th grade with IEP's. My students are in a general education classroom and will benefit from these types of tools and materials to be able to participate with their peers and reach their goals. I am confident the materials that are donated will be utilized by all students that will benefit from support in the area or skill that is needed. These can be used during centers or at their individual desk when being supported by an adult.
