Help me give my students manipulatives, puzzles, and games that will help them achieve their IEP goals.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Hellman's classroom raised $236

My Students
My students are joyful, rambunctious, high energy and full of life. They all have big dreams - to be lawyers, basketball players, college graduates, astronomers, and more.
I teach a self-contained, special education class in Baltimore, at a Title I school where one hundred percent of students receive free lunch.
They are all unique in their personalities and learning styles and demonstrate their knowledge in different ways. In my classroom, they learn critical academic, behavioral, and life skills. I want to give them all the tools they need to be successful and accomplish their goals.
My Project
As a special educator, I teach students who have IEPs- Individualized Education Plans. Each IEP has its own set of goals that are personalized to the student and his or her needs. In my classroom, many of my students have IEP goals involving telling time, counting money, learning the alphabet, or learning basic sight words. I work on these skills every single day with my students.
I am requesting materials such as student clocks, money manipulatives, alphabet puzzles and games, and sight word centers, so that my students can use these tools to achieve their IEP goals.
It is one of my primary responsibilities as a special educator to help my students achieve their IEP goals. My students need these engaging, hands on materials so they can retain new information and demonstrate their knowledge so they can prove that they accomplished their goals.
