My Project

Our fifth grade classroom library is the heart of our learning community, but many of our books are worn, outdated, or no longer capture students’ interests. My students are eager readers who light up when they discover stories that reflect their lives, challenge their thinking, or open windows into new worlds. New books would give them fresh opportunities to grow as readers, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning. With updated, engaging titles, every student, whether a struggling reader or an advanced one, can find a book that inspires them. Your support will help create a vibrant, diverse classroom library where every child has access to stories that matter. By donating, you’re not just giving books; you’re giving students the chance to imagine, question, dream, and succeed.

My goal for this project is to encourage my students to have a love for reading!

The only way this can happen is by filling the classroom library with books they can relate to and characters that inspire them!

My fifth graders are a truly special group of learners. They are curious, creative, and full of energy, always eager to ask big questions and explore new ideas. They cheer each other on, celebrate each other's successes, and show kindness in the small, everyday moments that make our classroom a community. Whether they’re tackling a tough math problem, diving into a new book, or sharing their unique perspectives, they bring enthusiasm and heart to everything they do. Their determination, humor, and growing confidence make our classroom a place where everyone feels valued, and that’s what makes them extraordinary.
