Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing access to soccer balls, soccer nets, scrimmage vests, storage bags, and soccer-themed fidget toys can play a meaningful role in fostering a sense of cultural belonging and inclusion for Hispanic students within a school community. Soccer is a deeply rooted and celebrated part of many Hispanic cultures. Incorporating soccer activities into the school environment creates opportunities for students to connect with their heritage, express themselves, and build relationships through shared experiences. Whether through organized games at recess, friendly competitions, or simply having equipment available for free play, these resources help students feel seen, valued, and engaged. Even small gestures, like soccer-themed fidget toys in classrooms, can serve as cultural affirmations, promoting pride and comfort in their identity while also encouraging focus and participation in school life.
