it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Title I school has one of the most competitive soccer programs in the area, despite all of our economic challenges. My players are hard-working and dedicated, inside and outside of the classroom, and they put in the time to win year in and year out. We regularly appear in the championships in our area and we want to continue to grow and learn more about the game itself. We regularly play schools that have unending amounts of money flowing into their programs, personal trainers, and top-end equipment to work with.
In order to stay competitive, we need two all-surface soccer tennis nets, to maximize practice time and perfect fundamental skills in a way that keeps the game fun!
We need the ability to keep the players in good shape, attend to minor injuries, and be able to change up practice based on our play or needs that week. We have limited space and time to practice, so these nets will help us to have a fun way to really focus on basic skills needed to lead us to another championship. My students deserve the opportunity to be able to continue to compete with schools that have more funds and access to more equipment, to improve gameplay overall. We are asking for a chance to continue our march toward excellence, and to help my players on their journey to playing at the college level.
