My Students

I love teaching Kindergarten because everything is new to them!

This is my 22nd year teaching, but my first year teaching kindergarten!

My students are caring, curious, and creative. I think my favorite thing about Kindergarten is how fun they are! They love to dance, play, and be silly!

My favorite thing is to share with the students their growth. I have them do a writing sample every month and I love to show them how they have changed over the year and see their faces when they see how much they have learned and where they have come from.

My Project

Due to COVID many of my kindergarten students are coming to school this year without having been outside much nor have they gone to preschool. They have missed out on exploring and playing outside! These materials will let them creatively explore and play outside together! Our playground only has one slide and some monkey bars, no grass, no swings. We will make an outdoor instrument wall for them to enjoy at recess. The games will be used during recess as well, to give the kids something to do other than playing tag. We have a lot of cement that is very rough and they are always falling and hurting themselves.
