This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work at a school where most students are minority students that come from low-income families. Many of my students also participate in sports and extracurricular activities. Not all of them have bags to store or carry their supplies or athletic equipment. Most do not have reusable water bottles for everyday use or for sports.
I love that my students participate in sports and extracurricular activities and would love for them to have water bottles to keep them hydrated and bags to carry their belongings and also represent their school pride.
The materials from this project would allow students to have reusable bags, rather than plastic bags, to carry their belongings and water bottles so they can stay hydrated and not have to purchase or use plastic water bottles. They will have the opportunity to use the stickers, vinyl and markers to personalize or decorate their bags and bottles with the school images, logos, colors, or design of their choice. Thank you for allowing my students to have gifts that are meaningful, functional, and environmentally friendly.
