My Project

The Rainbow Leaders in my class are a diverse group of enthusiastic and proactive students. As a Leader in Me school, my kids work diligently to reach their Wildly Important Goals. Every week they are challenged to complete their iReady lessons in math and reading with 80% or higher scores to get on our class scoreboard. They work hard to reach their weekly goals and we celebrate their accomplishments.

The students get recognized and praised for their hardwork but it would be more motivating to celebrate with a trip to the treasure chest to get an incentive as a reminder of their perseverance and effort.The extrinsic rewards such as erasers, special pens, pencils, bookmarks and squishables will be a constant reminder to themselves that they on the right path to success and hopefully it will also motivate them to reach their stretch goal by the end of the school year.

When other kids see them celebrated with incentives then they too will also want to keep up their positive attitude and strive to reach their goals.
