Help me give my students an unforgettable lesson about the origin of kites and how they are made. The average person spends about 6 hours a day looking at computer screens. What if we had a good reason to get outside and enjoy some fresh air instead? My students love their gadgets and technology, so they choose screen time over sunscreen time.
By going outside to enjoy the weather, it makes us more aware of our climate.
I want to share a lesson in the coming weeks with my students about kites. In this lesson they will learn about air pressure and movement, the history of kites, and how to make a kite. Students will also have the opportunity to be creative by placing their artistic skills to the kite. This project will give students the opportunity to get outside and “Go Fly a Kite”.
