My Students

We live in an incredible school district! We service around 500 students who come from all walks of life. We are innovative and are always trying new things to make our school an even better place to learn. Many of our students come from high poverty areas as our school is about 49% free and reduced-price lunch, but we have many programs to make up for these deficits. We have lots of parent support, an incredible PTO, and amazing donors through DonorsChoose.org!

My Project

I am so excited to be in a new grade level this year. I have spent my teaching career in kindergarten where I have had fun teaching some of the youngest learners.

I am now in second grade where the students have the foundation for reading and it is my job to develop the LOVE of reading!

I want to create a fun and inviting library for them to choose their books. Each student will have a personal book box. They will bookshop through our classroom library to fill their book box with books of their choice. The baskets that I am requesting will have all of these books for them to choose from
