My Project

I work with K-5 visual art students. We go through a lot of glue. This year I purchased refillable bottles with brushes in them. This has saved us a lot because we use less glue sticks now as a result. Refilling the bottles is a great student art job and but we really need some more liquid glue to keep these bottles full.

We are going to start sewing and fabric glue is great for adding applique to sewn projects to add interest and detail.

We do ceramics and gorilla glue and hot glue gun glue is always needed to do repairs. Sometimes a piece cracks in the kiln, or someone inadvertently drops their piece which causes heart break. I often need to do repairs so students can take home what they have worked so hard on.

We do collaborative murals for the hallway and use a lot of glue to put them together for the whole school to enjoy.

We are trying to use liquid glue in the refillable bottles as much as we can however there are a few projects that are just a little less frustrating for students if they have access to glue sticks. Also, some of the kindergarten students need the control of a glue stick as they work their way towards being able to control the bottled glue.

Glue doesn't seem like a glamorous thing to ask for but believe me it is so needed to run an art program. Art making is great for social emotional health and so we thank-you for your consideration and kindness.
