My students need glow supplies to create a glow classroom transformation! We need black lights, glow in the dark math manipulatives and materials to make glow in the dark games!
My students walk into my classroom everyday ready and excited to learn! I am very proud of their enthusiasm and love of learning I have fostered in each of them. As their teacher, it is my job to make sure I am providing the best learning environment for every student. Everyday, I strive to make my classroom engaging for everyone to maximize all students potential. When my students are engaged they are soaking up the content and truly learning.
What I want to do in my classroom is create a transformed environment to truly engage students in learning.
I love that my students expect the unexpected when they walk though the door each morning. I want to keep them on their toes and curious to figure out what is coming next!
I have students from a variety of backgrounds, students come from very rural areas as well as suburban neighborhoods. We are a Title One school and want each and every child to perform at their highest level possible, be self-confident, respectful and responsible each and every day.
My Project
Students are preparing hard for their state test at the end of the school year. As a review day for the math content we have learned all year, I want to create a "Glow What You Know Day" for my students. The classroom will be transformed into a glow gallery as students rotate though different stations with math content.
In order to create the glow environment, I need backlights.
The black lights I have requested are the core of making this transformation happen. I need multiple black lights to make different stations. All the stations have different materials and will need their own area of the classroom.
With other materials I have requested, I want to create games for my students. For example, I want to create glow bowling. I will stuff the hamster ball and clear bottles with glow sticks. Students will answer questions based on how many pins they knock down. Another game I want to create is glow Jenga. I will use the glow in the dark tape to cover Jenja blocks. Students will answer questions based on the color block they remove from the tower.
To make the day even more memorable for students, I want to give each student a pair of glow glasses and glow sticks to accessorize for the day! The glow accessories will make the day even more engaging and exciting!
