This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year has been very rough for my students. This is their first full year of instruction after the global pandemic. They had to get back to basic routines and procedures. In our mission of trying our best to close the gaps created by the last year and a half, my students were hit with the reality of standardized testing.
My students have persevered and shown so much growth this year amidst of the challenges of adjusting back to normalcy .
Many of them have improved one to two grade levels from where they started in the beginning of this year! What better way to celebrate their growth and the fact that they survived their first year of standardized testing by ending the year with a glow party!
