My students always participate in academic activities with cheerful hearts. A vast majority of students come from low income households and are faced with challenges. Regardless, the students have a drive to become accountable citizens of the school.
Many students strive to go above and beyond what is asked of them in their own unique way.
As a speech pathologist, I work with students who have difficulty communicating. Using their strategies and hard working skills, the speech students make remarkable progress towards their goals. They are able to take these skills into the classroom and out into the world in order to be the best version of themselves.
My Project
Schools have high expectations for students to maximize learning and a positive environment. Through the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports program, students are encouraged to make positive decisions. This builds character throughout the school.
School should be a positive, safe environment that allows students the opportunity to be rewarded for their successes.
The students have been working hard to earn a ticket to the quarter 1 glow party merit event by being safe, accountable, and respectful to peers and teachers. As they demonstrate these core values, they earn signatures and fill cards to earn this ticket. Merit events are a great way to celebrate their hard work.
