My Project
As one peers into the music room, drums, tambourines, and a few glockenspiels resonate through the air. With the addition of 20 additional glockenspiels, more, if not all, classes can play this melodious instrument at the same time.
Students will be able to form small ensembles, practice their sight reading, and match the notes they read on the staff to the notes in front of them on the instrument.
Playing the glockenspiel will also help them keep a steady beat and develop coordination skills.
Last year, a few fifth-graders performed Blackbird by the Beatles on their instruments! With 20 more instruments, who knows what songs will chime out from the music room!
