My Students

My students are the best! We are a small rural district. Many of our families are farmers in addition to one or two full-time jobs in the household. My students work very hard at school and at home. Many of my students do not have money to buy school supplies or get anything extra outside of surviving.

I believe one of the best ways to teach my students about the rest of the world outside of our small community is by having nice visual aids.

My Project

This is a free standing globe for my U.S. History and World Geography classroom. This globe will be a great asset to my students! They will be able to find the countries they are studying about on a hand crafted globe. This project will bring a resource to my classroom that my students do not currently have access to. We are a small farming area and many of my students do not travel outside of the area, so resources that teach them about the world outside of our community is not only a want, but also something that is truly needed.
