Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

iPads allow students to research restorative justice concepts, case studies, and current events that relate to their projects.

Restorative justice often involves sharing personal stories and reflecting on community impact.

With iPads, students can create videos, podcasts, or digital art showcasing their understanding. Use tools like iMovie, Canva, or GarageBand to design engaging presentations. Students can develop digital journals or reflection pieces that they can share with classmates and the broader school community.

Restorative justice projects often require students to share findings, action plans, or community initiatives with peers, staff, and even local leaders. iPads make it easy to create dynamic slide decks (Keynote, Canva, Google Slides) and

record video reflections or role-play scenarios. Develop infographics to raise awareness.

What makes my students special is their passion for learning and their unique perspectives. They are resilient, thoughtful, and eager to make a difference in their communities. Many of them come from underrepresented backgrounds, and I believe it’s important for them to see themselves reflected in the stories and voices we study. Thank you for believing in their potential and helping to make this project a reality. Together, we’re building a generation of changemakers who will use their voices to stand up for justice and equality.
