This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In 2010 Pernille Ripp created the Global Read Aloud Project with the simple goal of connecting the world through one book. Students in classrooms worldwide read the same books and participate in discussions using tools such as See Saw, email, regular mail, Padlet, etc. During a six-week period, teachers read aloud the books to their students and help them make as many global connections as possible.

This project aims to find commonalities with the rest of the world through the shared love of a book.

Since its inception, the Global Read Aloud Project has made millions of connections in more than 86 different countries.

Students in Kindergarten-5th Grade will be studying the award-winning author and illustrator Oge Mora.
