This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative and motivated to learn outside of the classroom. We have class discussions about a variety of topics about science, social studies and history. We also go to trips and enjoy hands on activities.

I am requesting a subscription to Scholastic News.

The exposure to current events and many other newsworthy stories will allow my students further global awareness and community exploration. It will foster guided discussions and inspire my students to expand their world view as relatable and more concrete. Students will love the topics introduced by Scholastic News and they will inspire additional debates and discussions inside and outside the classroom!
