My middle school students are ready to 'glaze' into the future with their colorful platters.
My middle school students are creative, funny, and ready for any artistic project given to them.
We will be starting pottery in a few weeks and would love to have some awesome glazes to make our work even more beautiful. Our school is an active group of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students ready for any hands on arts project.
My Project
My students will be using these glazes to glaze their platters, mugs and candle holders. My 6th grade students will be sculpting funny face mugs. My 7th grade students will be creating textured platters for Thanksgiving or Christmas meals. My 8th grade students will be creating candle holders. Each grade level will learn that they can create a durable lasting vessel to share with their family and community. They will learn a skill that will help expand their creative endeavors and build their artistic problem-solving skill set.
This project will make a difference because students will be able to take their projects home.
The platters will be versatile with the ability to be used at the fanciest dinners and even spruce up the everyday dinners. The funny faced mugs will add a creative charm when glazed and will be cherished for many years. The candle holders will sparkle with the light of hard work for ages.
