My Project

We are using Guided Language Acquisition Design! This program uses high-yield strategies from Dr. Stephen Krashen and Marcia Brechtel, and unlike most lessons, it involves creating units with your students. I am requesting updated maps of the world and informational text that aligns with our new English Language curriculum.

The G.L.A.D.

model has teachers introduce new units by tracing over maps of the areas covered in the unit, and by adding pictures to the maps to support building a neurological imprint of the unit to the student's schema of learning. Current research by GLAD in California, supports these high-yield strategies for all learners. With your help, we can teach!
