Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student deserves the gift of reading. My students would love to have the opportunity to hold a book and enjoy reading. Many of these books culturally represent the students in my class and would be a great way for them to be represented and find a book they can relate to. This will be served with great purpose as many of my students come from an underrepresented community. Some of these books will also help with my student's social emotion skills.
With a high interest in reading, I would love for all of my students to have access to a book they can feel connected to and inspired.
The variety of selected genres will ignite that spark of curiosity and glow in their eyes in such a way that I definitely know they would be excited to read more. This will greatly help bring back that joy of reading every student should experience.
