I am one lucky individual to have such a wonderful job as a teacher. I teach at a small Title I school where the demographic at our school includes students from a diverse set of backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses, and home lives. My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but that is our mission through these books! By reading novel units together as a class, I hope to foster a thirst for reading like these students have never experienced and make them fall in love with reading even more!
I teach an amazing group of 3rd graders who are eager for a new learning adventure through reading!
My students love to read, they just have trouble finding a book that captivates them. As an upcoming second year teacher, one obstacle I face is finding the funding to provide books for my students to read in my classroom. My students need materials to provide the best learning experience possible.
Going into my second year of teaching and having the opportunity to switch grade levels, my classroom library is greatly lacking. I'd love for each student to have access to their own copy of "Because of Winn-Dixie" that they can follow along with as we read together as a class. Through this, I hope to be able to foster a greater love for reading within each of my students.
I want to inspire my students to have an even deeper love of reading!
With these books in our classroom library, instruction and learning will be exciting for my students. By giving my students this book, they will also be able to embrace their imaginations.
