My students need these 3 microphones with stands, cables, and a mixer to get the full concert experience so that they can be proud of themselves and their school.
Do you remember your elementary school concerts? Those are memories that I want students to treasure. In order to do that, we need three microphones, cables and a mixer so that our parents and friends can hear us. At this time we do not have any thing for us to use so our concert experience.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds.
We are at a High Poverty School which is why this type of equipment is not already there. Parents cannot afford to help us purchase it. Students take pride in their school and their community. Students at my school need to opportunity to build their confidence and have someone believe in their talents, because they often do not have the opportunity by anyone else to get that.
We do two concerts per year; one in the winter and one at the end of the school year at a local park near by. We have pride in our school and community and want our performances to be the best. This equipment will help us do that. It will also allow us to use the equipment every day in music class. Students will have the tools and practice to use a microphone and do speaking parts in front of others which will help then for if they will be doing public speaking in middle school, high school, college, or beyond. Students will be able to a variety of different things in concerts; such as speaking parts, solos because they will be able to be heard with the new equipment.
This project is very important to students to build confidence in themselves.
They will be able to share their love of music for their friends and families. People in the community will be able to hear them when they perform. Students deserve this opportunity to share their talents.
