This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day I am graciously greeted by 22 hardworking first graders. Working at a Title I school has proved to have many challenges but even more rewards. Despite the many challenges they face at home, they are always eager to learn, share, and work cooperatively together.

It makes me such a proud teacher to see them achieve greatness.

I am so honored to walk into my classroom every day and help foster independent learning as well as positive classroom collaboration.

My Project

Students have different learning styles so why not offer them different seating choices! Gone are the days of every student sitting in the same chair! I want to allow my students to have a choice in what seating arrangement helps them learn. With these different seating options students will be able to work comfortably throughout the classroom rather than stuck at their desks. First graders love to move about the classroom. Giving them an option on where they want to learn and work fosters independence and responsibility. I can't wait to see my first graders develop their voice and learn how to make a choice that is best for them!
