it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is pre-funded by our school
Makerspace in School and to provide a creative STEAM outlet as a during-school and afterschool club resource.
I'm requesting the resources to purchase an open-source community-supported Sovol v06 3D printer to empower our students to make their computer-assisted-manufacturing and computer-assisted-design facilitated ideas in real-time as we explore fusion 360 in basic design principles of manufacturing and also mechanical engineering.
This is the natural next step in providing our students the opportunity both in class and during after-school programs to explore some of the cutting-edge technology made available today. We would like to resource our student body through a student-use Makerspace inside of my classroom to design iterate, improve and print 3D parts components, and tools to make their understanding, empowering and transformational. It is hoped that this next step in mechanical engineering and design capacity will also assist our award-winning dynamic robotics team as they compete to state and city-wide events.
We've requested support in purchasing the selected printer, filament drier, and filament to get us started as we as a group explore these new capacities.
