My Students

This project will benefit a fantastic group of 4th graders! My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Around 80% of our school is on free or reduced lunch. While we have a few programs to help our families outside of school, I am looking to help expand my students' problem solving skills inside the classroom.

My goal for my 4th graders is that they will be able to think outside of the box for problem solving and to become more successful in working with others.

My Project

These IQ Puzzlers are a great way to get students thinking and problem solving! Many times through out our day, especially in math, my students come across problems that are difficult. Many shut down and become frustrated.

In my classroom, we are learning to embrace the struggle and not give up!

These games provide fun puzzles with a hint of challenge. Students will be able to work together, and individually, to solve these puzzles. Multiple levels will help challenge each individual student.

I am hoping to show my students that struggles are a part of life and help them become stronger problem solvers. Although these are games, the skills we learn from them will be carried into every aspect of our day (in school and out!)
