Giving My Students A Virtual Reality Check

My Project

I've requested the basic items needed to both set up a classroom VR set and to then import and work with class projects within the system. Virtual Reality is currently booming within both the imaginations and the wallets of the gaming industry, with many companies eager to hire and find young people with a passion for new ideas. Universities are adapting their programs to include it, and having one would make our classroom able to start working on the most up to date tech. Students would be able to build their projects digitally, and then be able to view them up close and interact with their own hard work. It would also be great for integration with other disciplines, possibly leading to things like VR Tours or practice simulations related to those other disciplines.

Overall, I believe it will get the students excited and passionate about the possibilities and practical applications of the tools I'm teaching them.

Every part of what I teach is applicable in the educational use of a VR headset, from creating UI in Photoshop or Illustrator, to the modeling in Maya, to the actual game or simulation itself in Unity. Please help me give these students a chance to literally change how they perceive their virtual realities.
