This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excitable, intelligent, and love to learn. They soak up new information like sponges. They love learning about the world around them, even though most of them won't have the opportunity to travel outside of their own neighborhood.

I have the pleasure of teaching them about the far away places that they may only dream about.

My wonderful students come from a low-income, high poverty, urban neighborhood. Their biggest dream is to go to college. To think about traveling around the world is unheard of for them.

My Project

My students need the Chromebooks in order for them to be able to see the world. Having a way to view the world through the internet, students will be able to gain a greater understanding of this world. My hope is that my students can go to the sites of many different museums to see the culture that surrounds us. My dream is for my students to become worldly students and not just look to their neighborhood for answers. Their neighborhood may not be able to give them the right answers.

For students who may never get out of their own neighborhood, they deserve the world.
