This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students face challenges having access to things that bring them joy. As an educator, I'm constantly seeking tools that not only support academics but that also foster creativity and positive behavior. The magnetic building blocks and headphones play a powerful role in helping my students stay engaged, motivated and eager to learn.
The magnetic building blocks are hands on tools that encourage problem solving and collaboration while using critical thinking skills.
Students will use them to explore shapes and structures while supporting STEM learning and creativity. Also, they will be valuable during brain breaks and center time.
Headphones are essential in modern day classrooms where technology is an asset to students learning. Most of my students do not have access to the internet at home so while they are at school with headphones they are able to focus on educational apps, online lessons and literacy programs such as Learning A-Z and HMH helping them stay on task and learn at their own pace.
