My Project
Since returning to in-person learning, it has been apparent how the pandemic impacted students learning and focus in the classroom. It created a void of engagement and a disconnect with what being in the classroom is like. Students learned how to be self-sufficient and work in non-traditional ways with a lack of traditional resources. Due to this, I have been working to create new and innovative ways to engage my students.
My classroom is focused on flexible seating arrangements, which my students really love.
Ensuring students are comfortable whether at their desk or on the floor in reading groups is really essential to ensuring they are motivated and engaged.
The products I have chosen will help my students to have additional seating options to enhance their motivation and willingness to complete their work. In addition, having equitable access to our resources, like pencils, dry erase markers and especially books gets students excited about their learning. For me, it is so important to have students wanting to learn, and the products I have selected will ensure this and in the process, new students may discover a love of learning they didn't realize they had.
